OUTPLACE · Outplacement
Outplacement services and support for employees made redundant.
A dignified farewell with help for the next job.
Outplacement is advice that helps an employee who has been made redundant move on to a new job, usually in an outplacement programme paid for by the employer. The farewell often becomes a checklist and a final payslip while colleagues look on. OUTPLACE can give the person leaving a direction towards the next job with a coach, Ajuna and short courses, so the farewell strengthens trust among those who stay.
- What is it?
- An application for outplacement programmes with Ajuna, an assistant on the phone and in the browser, short courses and the coach you agree on.
- Who uses it?
- HR, managers and those responsible for redundancies and restructuring. Outplacement firms and HR consultants can use it for their clients.
- And the person made redundant?
- The programme and the conversations belong to the person made redundant. They decide what is shared and take their account with them.
- What does it require?
- An agreement on the programme, including who the coach is, and a link for the person made redundant, who logs in with their private email.
How it works
How it works
The outplacement programme from redundancy to the next job
STEP 01
The manager is prepared
The manager is prepared for the conversation, so it is clear what help the person made redundant takes with them.
STEP 02
Clarity about the next step
The person made redundant puts words to their strengths and what the next job should contain, together with Ajuna and a coach.
STEP 03
Direction and plan
The clarification becomes a direction and a plan for the job search. Short courses from Academy can be added.
STEP 04
Support after the last working day
Ajuna follows up between the meetings with the coach, so the programme keeps its pace, also after the last working day.
Those who stay
A farewell colleagues can see is handled well
Colleagues often notice how a farewell is handled and read it as a picture of how they themselves will be treated. When the person leaving gets concrete help to move on, the farewell can become a clear signal that the culture holds when it matters.
The person leaving can also become an ambassador for you: a future colleague, someone who refers new candidates, or a customer. The transition becomes a relationship that continues.

In depth
Behind OUTPLACE
What is outplacement?
Outplacement is advice and help for an employee who has been made redundant to move on to a new job or a new direction. The employer usually pays for the programme as part of the farewell. Sympact's application for outplacement programmes is called OUTPLACE. It brings clarification, coaching, short courses and an assistant on the phone together in one programme, so the help can continue between meetings and after the last working day.
What does an outplacement programme include?
The programme begins with the manager's preparation for the conversation. Then the person made redundant clarifies their strengths and what the next job should contain, together with Ajuna and a coach. The choice of coach is agreed as part of the programme. The clarification becomes a direction and a plan for the job search, and short courses from Academy can be added. Ajuna follows up between meetings, so the programme keeps its pace.
Who is OUTPLACE for?
Employees at every level, from specialists and middle managers to top executives. The programme is adapted to each person's situation, for example a career change, a new professional field or a job close to the one they come from. It also suits restructurings where several people need to move on at the same time, because Ajuna can follow many programmes side by side.
What does an outplacement programme cost?
The price depends on how many people need to move on and how much coaching each person needs. The assistant and the courses can make it possible to offer more people a programme within the same budget. In a 30-minute intro meeting we go through your situation, and then you get a price.
How is the manager prepared for the conversation?
OUTPLACE prepares the manager for the conversation about the farewell, so the decision is clear and the person made redundant knows from day one what help is waiting. In restructurings, a programme from Academy can train managers in the difficult conversations before the message goes out.
What does the employer see?
The conversations with Ajuna and the coach belong to the person made redundant, who decides what is shared. The employer sees how many people use the programme and the combined learning across many programmes, for example what can be done better at the next hire. The confidentiality gives more honest conversations and therefore better help with the next step.
Does the programme continue after the last working day?
Yes. The person made redundant logs in with their private email and owns their account, so the programme can continue after they leave, for the period you agree. They can export or delete the account themselves.
Can an outplacement firm use OUTPLACE?
Yes. Outplacement firms, HR consultancies and coaches can use OUTPLACE for their own clients. The coach is connected in Ajuna, and the assistant keeps the rhythm between meetings, so each consultant can follow several programmes well. Read more about the collaboration on the partners page.
